Meet Toby Jones
Toby's second book, The Way of Jesus, has just been released by his publisher, Wipf and Stock Publishers out Eugene, Oregon! Order your copy today!

Toby Jones is a compelling new voice in progressive theology. His first book, The Gospel According to Rock, explores secular rock’s surprising connections with the Christian gospel. His new book, The Way of Jesus: Re-Forming Spiritual Communities in a Post-Church Age highlights 7 principles and practices that Jones believes will be essential to vital Christian communities in the future.

Not only is Jones a Princeton-trained theologian, but he’s also been performing rock music professionally for 30 years, including gigs with Darius Rucker (“Hootie”), Livingston Taylor, and the late Brad Delp (lead singer of Boston). He is also the founder of a brand new alternative spiritual community in Northern Michigan called "Living Vision." (Check out his blog at http://faith4tomorrow.blogspot.com to learn more!)

Toby Jones is not like most writers, anymore than he is like most pastors. In October of 2006, Jones hosted an all rock-n-roll worship service at his very traditional Presbyterian Church that featured songs by The Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Everlast, and Coldplay. That Sunday morning service shattered the all-time attendance record there, including Christmas Eve and Easter services!

Jones has taught writing and poetry at the nation’s top prep schools, including Phillips Exeter. He’s also managed campus radio stations, and written music reviews for national magazines. He resides in Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Toby is preparing a touring schedule to promote his groundbreaking and profoundly challenging new book. If you or your church would be interested in hosting Toby for a reading, lecture, or concernt contact Toby right away!
